Chloe Yandell
Chloe is a versatile artist based in Bath, UK. She uses a variety of mediums to convey her concepts, exploring ideas, techniques and processes with a focus on texture and mark making. Often her artwork evolves the exploration of materials and their potential, and are often seen as poetic paintings that are intertwined in an atmospheric landscape.
Carving into the piece itself is a theme that runs through her body of work and recently she has been exploring how different qualities of gold leaf react with other materials. Her abstract landscapes are often places that feel familiar, but that transfers a memory of place, unique to the viewer. They can be anywhere, yet nowhere, landscapes that fit many memories.
Chloe graduated with a BA (Hons) First Class in Fine Art from Bath Spa University College. She has been shortlisted for the VAA Professional Award and Visual Art Open 2023, and was featured in various publications including House and Garden Magazine, Estila and World of Interiors Magazine. Beyond her art practice, she is a part time Associate Lecturer on the Creative Arts Practice at Bath Spa University.
