The Wave

Laura uses her signature bold brushstrokes, drips and pours in opaque and translucent layers to produce surfaces that are beautifully textured, sublimely coloured and visually engaging. This striking circular pour painting, with Iridescent turquoise sparkles with beautiful blue hues, is one of the three remaining circular paintings in deep-set white frames. The Wave is inspired Laura's visit to Iceland where she witness first hand how rising sea levels from the effects of climate change is changing the landscape with glaciers shrinking, ice breaking and rivers surging.
