Colours United

Laura uses her signature bold brushstrokes, drips and pours in multiple layers to produce a distinct take on the Union Jack. This 3-dimensional work is sculpted with poured multi-coloured acrylic paint on wood panel using the frame as an integral part of the work. The paint has been manipulated to create waves and folds giving it a fresh and dynamic visual effect. The British flag as a subject is Laura's comment on contemporary Britain, and engages the viewer inviting their own interpretation. A one-of-a-kind statement piece!
