As a photographer in the digital age, David seeks out ways to work beyond the constraints of modern digital imagery. He looks back to the earliest photographic processes and also develops his own alternative ways of producing a photographic image. These include using traditional processes such as cyanotype and gum bichromate and embellishing with water- or oil-gilded gold, silver and copper leaf.

What We Do Not See is a photographic archival print taken at London's Waterloo Station. In crowded places we isolate and protect ourselves, unaware of those inhabiting the same moment. An echo of a time when we wanted to escape from the crowd but now yearning to be back to "normal". This is a full bleed print that extends all the way to the edge of the paper with no margins. It is best presented in a floating frame. Please enquire about framing.
